The iOS 10 update makes the Messages app become another ground to play loved games and apps when you are bored. And there are plenty of nice iMessage apps to play, such as Pigeon, Quiktionary, 8ball, and Mr.Putt. But recently some people complained they can’t play some iMessage games with their contacts.
“Some of my friends and i wanted to play 8ball, but when they ‘request’ the game, it just sends a picture. but when i send a request and i click on it, it says it’s waiting for the opponent. It’s the same on the other side for my friends (it sending a picture and not the game)”
As we found, you might get some other issues on iMessages games and apps, like:
- Can’t add iMessage Games from App Store.
- Can’t install and update iMessage games and apps.
How to Fix iMessage Games Not Working
- Restart iPhone. Power off your device. Wait for a while, and then turn on your device again.
- Reinstall the iMessage Game. Hold on the app on iMessage to delete it and then reinstall it in your iMessage app.
- Free up your iPhone storage. If you have not enough storage, you may not update, install games and apps on iMessages. Try to clean up your iPhone space and make room for your iMessage games and apps.
- Update your device to latest iOS software.

Black Screen and then Crash on running the game
Known Fix:
If you open the game and just get a black screen - this is usually caused by the game not recognizing your monitor/graphics cards native resolution properly;
Running the game from Steam
Go to the game in your Steam Library
Right Click and select ' Properties '
In the General tab, select ' Set Launch Options '
Add ' -windowed '
Running the game from the Native Installer/exe
Go to the game Shortcut (or find the .exe C:Program Files (x86)Eden Star Pre-AlphaEdenGameBinariesWin64**EdenGame.exe** and Right Click and then create a Shortcut)
Right Click on the Shortcut and select ' Properties '
In the ' Target ' line, after the quotation marks ( ' ) append the end with ' -windowed ' e.g.
'C:Program Files (x86)Eden Star Pre-AlphaEdenGameBinariesWin64**EdenGame.exe' -windowed
The game should run in windowed mode fine. While in game you can try setting the resolution via the options menu and after this, then set the game to fullscreen again.

Find the GameUserSettings.ini file located here...
C:Users*YourUserNameHere*AppDataLocalEdenGameSavedConfigWindowsNoEditor

2) Next copy and paste this file into another folder or your desktop, and delete the one inside the original folder. The Game should automatically generate a new one fresh for you when you next Play.
Remove the files from the 'Movies' folder
- Navigate to your Steam Eden Star install directory
Find the 'Movies' folder and delete the movies
